Youth & Community

A safe, supportive space where young people can grow, connect and thrive.

Murrayside is more than just a building — it’s a place where local young people can feel part of something positive.
We know growing up isn’t easy, and many of the young people in our area face challenges like low income, social pressure, and lack of opportunities.
That’s why we’re here: to offer support, build confidence, and create new chances to shine.

Why it matters
  • Builds self-esteem, discipline and confidence

  • Reduces isolation, anxiety and anti-social behaviour

  • Offers positive role models and a supportive community

  • Helps develop skills for education, training and employment

  • Gives young people a safe place to be themselves

Inclusion is at our heart

We welcome everyone — including young people with ADHD, autism, learning differences, anxiety and behavioural challenges.
Our team and volunteers work closely with schools, social care and youth justice services to make sure Murrayside is accessible, understanding and supportive.

Our young people aren’t just participants — they’re part of the team.
Many go on to lead sessions, help run events, or join our youth leadership board.
This is their centre, and their voices matter.
