Our Facilities

We hire rooms for clubs and classes, workshops and more. We also have facilities that are here for you to use - here's a roundup of what Murrayside Community Centre offers. To find out more about any of the below, contact us.

1

Workshop

Build. Create. Connect.

A safe, welcoming place to learn practical skills, meet new people, and feel part of something.

Our workshop is for anyone who wants to get hands-on, learn new skills or just spend time with others in a relaxed, friendly setting.
It’s especially for those who might be out of work, have retired early, or are simply looking for a new focus.

Whether you’ve never picked up a tool before or you’re already handy, you’ll be welcomed.

2

Youth and Community

A safe, supportive space where young people can grow, connect and thrive.

Murrayside is more than just a building — it’s a place where local young people can feel part of something positive.
We know growing up isn’t easy, and many of the young people in our area face challenges like low income, social pressure, and lack of opportunities.
That’s why we’re here: to offer support, build confidence, and create new chances to shine.

3

Gym and Fitness

Get active, feel stronger — in body and mind.

Our gym and fitness spaces are open to everyone.
Whether you’re just starting out, getting back into exercise, or looking for a supportive place to train, you’ll be welcomed here.

Murrayside’s approach is simple: low-cost, relaxed and people-first.
No judgement, no pressure — just a chance to build strength, confidence and routine at your own pace.

4

Cafe

A warm welcome, a good cuppa, and a place to belong.

Our café is the heart of Murrayside — a relaxed, friendly space where everyone’s welcome.
It’s perfect for catching up with friends, having a quiet moment to yourself, or just popping in before or after a class.

We keep prices low and the kettle on. There’s free Wi-Fi, step-free access and plenty of parking out back — so it’s easy to drop in and feel at home.

Open Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm
No booking needed — just come as you are.

5

Support and Wellbeing

Practical help, emotional support, and a safe space to talk.

Life can be tough, and sometimes everyone needs a bit of extra support.
At Murrayside, we’re here to listen, to connect you with the right help, and to offer safe spaces where you can look after your wellbeing.

We work closely with trusted partners, counsellors and local organisations to make sure people in our community get the support they need.

6

Kitchen

Learning, cooking, confidence - all in one place.

Our fully equipped kitchen is more than just a space to hire — it’s a hub for learning, sharing and building life skills.
It’s here for anyone who wants to build confidence in the kitchen, discover how to eat well on a budget, or even explore food as a future career.

We keep things relaxed, supportive and hands-on — no experience needed.

7

Courses and Classes

Something for everyone, every week.

Murrayside is home to a huge variety of activities run by local groups, clubs and organisations. From martial arts and boxing to dance, netball, Baby Sensory, counselling, fitness and more — our rooms are always alive with energy.

Every group brings its own skills, passion and community spirit, and there’s always something new to try. Some sessions are drop-in, others need booking, but all are welcoming.
